About Judy Becker:
The owner of Lauray of Salisbury, a plant resource well worth seeking out in northwest Connecticut, Judy Becker also serves as president of the Connecticut Orchid Society and is an Accredited Judge with the American Orchid Society. She graduated from Trinity College, in Washington, D.C. with a B.A. in Biology and subsequently went on to obtain two graduate degrees, neither one involving horticulture. Her fascination with Orchids began one spring while admiring the genus Odontoglossum at the New York Flower Show. She now grows and sells many types, ranging from small seedlings that will take several years to reach blooming size, to large plants in bloom.
