The first clear yellow Clivia we ever saw came from the collection of Sir John Thouron, a renowned Pennsylvania gardener. We thought the soft, warm shade made an already attractive and durable plant an absolute knockout. By good luck, persistence, and the kindness of Sir John, we secured a few offsets of the original specimen from our friends at Longwood Gardens. Vegetative propagation of Clivias is an incredibly slow, and therefore expensive, process, but there is no other way to ensure that the subsequent plants are exact clones. We recently divided our stock of 5- to 7-year plants and have a limited quantity to offer now. All are blooming size and will quickly fill out their 10-inch pots. Orders are accepted until November 21 and shipped immediately, weather permitting. Express delivery is included.
This is a tender plant, so we will begin shipping holiday gift orders in mid-November, weather permitting.
