Cornus canadensis

Cornus canadensis

Most gardeners know Dogwoods as trees or shrubs, but this species produces short creeping plants that are delightful at the front of a shade garden. The familiar white, four-bracted flowers face upwards and are followed by edible red berries. A dependable northern native.

A member of the Dogwood family, Cornus is one of the best-loved ornamental groups. The species are mostly shrubs or small trees that sport opposite leaves and often produce a showy bract that surrounds the true flower and adds greatly to its effect. For attractive color in winter, look to the stems of Cornus sanguinea or C. sericea.

Every state has agricultural regulations that restrict the shipment of certain plants. We're sorry, but we cannot ship this item to the following states: FL
