Golden blooms all season long on 15in stems. This variety casts its seeds carelessly about, becoming a pleasant nuisance when it catches hold in paths, stone walls, and other unexpected nooks. Wherever it pops up, you'll be glad to see it.

This genus of 300 far-flung species bears small, spurred blooms that will be familiar to anyone who loves Bleeding Heart. Flowering ranges from late spring to fall on short spikes that decorate a cool mound of handsomely cut foliage. Corydalis do best in shade and evenly moist soil and may go dormant in the heat of summer. They are useful for edging shady borders or walkways.

The size of the plants we ship has been selected to reduce the shock of transplanting. For some, this means a large, bareroot crown. Others cannot travel bareroot or transplant best if grown in containers. We ship these perennials and annuals in 1 pint pots, except as noted. We must point out that many perennials will not bloom the first year after planting, but will the following year, amply rewarding your patience. We ship bulbs as dormant, bare bulbs, sometimes with some wood shavings or moss. Shrubs, Roses, vines, and other woody plants may be shipped bareroot or in pots. The size of the pot is noted in the quick facts for each item.

We ship our bulbs and plants at the right time for planting in your area, except as noted, with orders dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis by climate zone. Estimated dates for shipping are indicated in the Shipping Details box for each item. Please refer to the Shipping Details box to determine the earliest shipping time. Unless you specify otherwise, fertilizers, tools, and other non-plant items are shipped with your plants or bulbs. Please supply a street address for delivery. Kindly contact us with two weeks notice, if you'll be away at expected time of delivery.

We guarantee to ship plants that are in prime condition for growing. If your order is damaged or fails to meet your expectations, we will cheerfully replace or refund it. Please contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-503-9624 or email us at [email protected]. Please include your order number or customer number when contacting us.

One of few plants that tops the admiration list of everyone who sees it, including the competitive UK gardeners in my family. Blooms literally all summer, self seeds and spreads locally, also popping up here and there, but not invasive. Delicate and beautiful. In my garden tolerates full sun for 2-3 hours followed by partial then full shade on a gentle slope, from which it send out emissaries to rest of garden. Doesn't like to dry out or sit in water. Less fussy than ochroleuca (white) and blackberry wine which are also superb but don't self seed.

Easy in partial shade or shade and evenly moist soil. C. 'Blue Panda' may go dormant in the heat of summer, then reemerge in fall. C. lutea self-sows without becoming a pest; you can also collect seeds as they ripen and scatter them where you'd like more plants.
