'Vera' is a low grower (9in) whose lovely foliage can best be described as a bluish jade-green with a strong plum purple blush. It is especially attractive when the rose-pink flowers open in early August. Plants will spread up to 18 in but actually look best when they are shaped a bit in spring to stay compact. Try planting with silver-leaved Artemisias or Stachys for an arresting combination that lasts all season long. 'Vera' is one of the great foliage plants of all time.
