Onion Walla Walla

Onion Walla Walla

Celebrated all over the country for its incredibly mild, sweet flesh, 'Walla Walla' has been a favorite since the early 1900s, when it was brought here from France. The big, round, yellow-skinned bulbs have crunchy, white flesh that is delicious either raw or cooked. 'Walla Walla' plants will produce big, uniform harvests all over the country, but pungency will vary depending on your climate and garden soil. They are not long keepers, so enjoy their exceptional flavor in the weeks right after harvest. 'Walla Walla' is a "day neutral" variety, which means it will grow almost anywhere in the country regardless of daylength. It matures about 80-85 days from transplant. For information on growing and care, click "Growing Guide. 60 onion plants per bundle. No Express or Priority delivery." Mailing address required for shipment.
