With long, deep magenta, ruffled leaves, 'Redbor' Kale is an ornamental knockout in the kitchen garden or even a perennial border. Plants grow 2- to 4ft tall in 55 days and may overwinter in the vegetable patch, giving you a small second harvest in spring. Baby leaves are lovely in salads or as garnishes; pluck larger leaves after first frost for best flavor. They're rich in minerals and vitamins C and A.
