Mildly pungent 'Ancho 101' plays a fundamental role in Mexican cuisine, appearing in traditional dishes such as rellanos, tamales, and red chili sauce. It's referred to as Poblano in its fresh form and Ancho when dried. Plants produce lots of 4-6in tapered, juicy fruits that ripen from green to red about 80 days from transplant.
Our stocky seedlings are grown and shipped in 3in pots that are a full 4in deep, so the plants you receive have strong, well-developed root systems. For more information on growing and care, click Growing Guide.
