'Brandywine Red' (also known as 'Brandywine') is a big, meaty Tomato with a mild, sweet, nonacidic flavor that many people rate as simply the best. And that flavor is what prompted home gardeners to save seeds of it for the past 100 years, even though the fruits occasionally develop some cracking. This hefty, beefsteak-type Tomato ripens to a pinkish red and is best for fresh eating. Indeterminate. Fruits ripen about 80-100 days from transplant. Our plants have a regular leaf, not a potato leaf.
Our stocky seedlings are grown and shipped in 3in pots that are a full 4in deep, so the plants you receive have strong, well-developed root systems. For more information on growing and care, click Growing Guide.
