A delicious red beefsteak Tomato, 'Brandywine off the Vine' (also known as 'Brandywine OTV') arose as a hybrid between one of its siblings, 'Yellow Brandywine', and an unknown red variety. 'Brandywine off the Vine' has good yields of 1-pound fruits on Potato Leaf vines. Heirloom. Indeterminate. Fruits ripen about 85 days from transplant.
Some Tomato varieties are known as "Potato Leaf." All this means is that their leaves look more like those of Potatoes (with few or no notches on the leaf edges). The leaves are thicker as well, which may help resist disease.
Our stocky seedlings are grown and shipped in 3in pots that are a full 4in deep, so the plants you receive have strong, well-developed root systems. Full instructions for planting and care included.
