A jumbo version of the Heraklis design, this large pot measures approximately 28 1/2in in diameter at the top and 31 1/2in deep, and weighs 82 pounds. The ornamentation is simple and includes a ring of thumbprints and hand-incised scalloping. We carefully protect the pot with a layer of foam before packing it in a plywood box. The top and one side of the box are removable to allow convenient access. The delivery truck will unload the box using a lift gate. Moving the pot to its final location at your home and disposal of all packing materials will be your responsibility.

These extraordinary pots are thrown by hand, then fired for hours in wood-burning kilns that give them a soft and variable shade of tan to pale beige, which changes with the light and the pots' contents. No two are exactly alike. Shapes are drawn from Classical-era containers that were then, and are now, common household items in Crete. They provide a look that is both traditional and informal, and we've given them prominent positions throughout our gardens and in our home.

All measurements are approximate because the pots are made by hand, not machine. All pots have drainage holes. Keep from freezing in winter.
