Fresh sprouts are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Now you can produce your own by turning a small spot on your kitchen counter into a year-round garden with this clever tiered seed sprouter. Five stacking components make your harvest quick work -- and fun to watch. Spread seeds in one, two, or all three clear trays. Water from the top reservoir will trickle down and circulate, dampening the seeds as it makes its way to the bottom. A ribbed pattern on the floor of each seed tray retains enough water to promote sprouting yet ensures the sprouts stay crisp instead of soggy, while unique siphons keep the water moving through. Twice or three times a day, empty the bottom drain tray and repeat the watering. You'll have attractive, crisp, crunchy sprouts to add to salads, sandwiches, hors d'oeuvres, and soups in two to four days, depending on seed type -- and you may sprout a different type in each tray. A booklet with complete directions and ten yummy recipes is included. Dishwasher-safe acrylic. Approximately 8in high, 6in in diameter.
