The Scotswoman Elizabeth Cameron is widely esteemed as a botanical artist, and we were pleased to buy an original watercolor of Jasminum polyanthum from her hand many years ago. That purchase put our name on a promotion list for an exquisite hardbound edition of her work with a total of 24 images, each 16 1/2 x 12"" and all of plants that produce white flowers. Click on "More Images" at left to view a sample. This superb, sleeved volume was printed in 1980 on top-quality, acid-free paper and includes a foreword by the late Christopher Lloyd, who appreciated her work as much as we. A Book of White Flowers has become a collector's item, not least because we bought 20 of the original edition of 250. Some we gave as gifts and two were separated and the prints individually framed (which may be a heresy but produced a stunning collection of white flowers for our home and office).
The time has now come to share our bounty with those who might be interested. We have 12 volumes offered at $2,500 each, a multiple of what they cost when new and rather less than they are worth today if the prints were individually framed. First come, first served. An extraordinary gift for a few lucky souls.
