Many gardeners consider soil tests an unnecessary hassle, but with this pH meter you can get fast, accurate results. By knowing what state your soil is in, you can fertilize more precisely. It's useful for checking the soil for plants with specific growing requirements such as Blueberries (low pH) and the flower color of certain Hydrangeas (blue with low pH and pink with higher levels). For best results, soil should be moist when testing.
