All the good work of the hybridizers has done nothing to diminish the charm of the species, and the white form in particular remains a first-rate garden plant. Its vigorous, 6ft canes throw pure white, Poppy-like flowers with a spicy perfume from early June to frost. They are succeeded by orange hips. Stunning fall color is the icing on the cake. Own-root.
Although many people like to grow Hybrid Teas in beds by themselves, we prefer to mingle Roses with other plants, and all of our varieties thrive in a mixed border where they add height, structure, and often an unmatched fragrance. The basic needs of Roses are six hours or more of direct sun per day and a fertile, reasonably moist soil.
