This is a Fuchsia that doesn't look the part. It has an upright habit, and its 18″ stems produce numerous pendent clusters of salmon-pink flowers that are tubular in shape. It blooms heavily from early summer until frost, and hummingbirds seek it out in search of nectar. Foliage is a satiny, bronze-green with striking reddish purple veins. An excellent container plant that takes full sun here and thrives in partial shade.

HOW PLANTS ARE SHIPPED
The size of the plants we ship has been selected to reduce the shock of transplanting. For some, this means a large, bareroot crown. Others cannot travel bareroot or transplant best if grown in containers. We ship these perennials and annuals in 1 pint pots, except as noted. We must point out that many perennials will not bloom the first year after planting, but will the following year, amply rewarding your patience. We ship bulbs as dormant, bare bulbs, sometimes with some wood shavings or moss. Shrubs, Roses, vines, and other woody plants may be shipped bareroot or in pots. The size of the pot is noted in the quick facts for each item.

Tucker from Bluefield WV
I love how this fuchsia stands tall and the constant gorgeous blooms it displays - no deadheading. Could not believe the beautiful plants that I received from White Flowers farms in CT as I live in southern WV.

At its best in partial shade and moist but well-drained soil. Here in Litchfield, Fuchsia also grow well in full sun.
In all but the mildest winter climates (plants are hardy to Zone 9 [20°]), bring plants indoors before frost and overwinter in a sunny window in a cool room. Set back outdoors after the danger of frost has passed in spring.
