This diminutive charmer (Acalypha pendula) conjures old-fashioned comfort, but with a modern flair. Fuzzy-textured, scarlet trailing blooms just beg to be touched (so go ahead). They rise above tufts of tiny leaves with edges that look like they were cut with miniature pinking shears. Dwarf Chenille Plant makes a high-performing houseplant and can be grown outdoors as a tender perennial. Shipped in a 6-inch Nantucket basket, beginning in March, weather permitting.
