It seems like there's no limit to the companions for Allium 'Globemaster.' At our nursery, this long-stemmed beauty holds its own planted next to shrubs or among perennials, which will help hide its leaves as they go dormant. By early summer, the large, purple spheres of 'Globemaster' seem to float above the electric orange-red blooms of Oriental Poppy 'Türkenlouis.' The juxtaposition of complementary colors is exquisite. Enjoy the same effect in your garden with our collection of 3 Poppy plants and 6 Allium bulbs.

Winter Protection for Zones 3–6: In the fall, leave new foliage on your plants and mulch with a loose material, such as evergreen boughs or pine needles, after the soil has frozen to a depth of one inch.

Shipping

Shipping
Every state has agricultural regulations that restrict the shipment of certain plants. We're sorry, but we cannot ship this item to the following states: Arizona, Oregon, Washington.

HOW PLANTS ARE SHIPPED

The size of the plants we ship has been selected to reduce the shock of transplanting. For some, this means a large, bareroot crown. Others cannot travel bareroot or transplant best if grown in containers. We ship these perennials and annuals in 1 pint pots, except as noted. We must point out that many perennials will not bloom the first year after planting, but will the following year, amply rewarding your patience. We ship bulbs as dormant, bare bulbs, sometimes with some wood shavings or moss. Shrubs, Roses, vines, and other woody plants may be shipped bareroot or in pots. The size of the pot is noted in the quick facts for each item.

WHEN WE SHIP

We ship our bulbs and plants at the right time for planting in your area, except as noted, with orders dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis by climate zone. We also ship a wide range of containers and planters, tools, supplies, fertilizers, garden wear, garden decor items, as well as indoor decorations like wreaths and dried bouquets when available. Estimated dates for shipping are indicated in the green Shipping Details box for each item. Please supply a street address for delivery. Kindly contact us with two weeks notice, if you'll be away at the expected time of delivery.

OUR GUARANTEE

We guarantee to ship plants that are in prime condition for growing. If your order is damaged or fails to meet your expectations, we will cheerfully replace or refund it. Please contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-503-9624 or email us at [email protected]. Please include your order number or customer number when contacting us.

Love this pairing!

I bought this pairing years ago when I was living in Chicago. People would walk by and take pictures, because the juxtaposition of the red and purple and white fence was striking.

It has been now over 15 years and they are still gorgeous!!

I have moved to Atlanta and will try to reproduce the look of my old garden. Can't wait!

pretty, but...

I ordered one of this collection several years ago and planted in my full sun bed.. Of the 3 poppies, only 1 survives. That one however is thriving and currently is sending up 4 buds. The other 2 never reappeared after the 2nd year. Of the 6 alliums, only 2 survived - however those 2 have reproduced so I at least now have 6 again. For the price I guess I expected a better survival rate in my Z7 garden.

Allium are great but no poppies

I bought a few of this item in the fall of 2012 with the expectation that I would have those beautiful allium and poppy in my garden. Unfortunately, not one of the poppy produced a bloom. The Allium are great and I have had a lot of nice compliments on them.

Maybe the poppy needs a year or two to produce a bloom.
