This startup garden is designed for those who want to get their toes wet before diving in or who are returning to vegetable gardening now that space and/or time permits. We've gathered the best varieties for home gardeners and with just nine plants, it's a snap to care for in about 30sq ft of full sun. One each of early cherry Tomatoes 'Sungold' and 'Husky Red'; three crunchy Sweet Bell Peppers -- orange 'Ariane', yellow 'Early Sunsation', and red 'Fat 'n' Sassy'; early seedless Cucumber 'Diva' and later, 8-9in slicer 'Marketmore 76'; productive straightneck Summer Squash 'Goldbar'; and glossy striped Zucchini 'Bush Baby'. Nine plants total.

Our stocky seedlings are grown and shipped in 3in pots that are a full 4in deep, so the plants you receive have strong, well-developed root systems. Full instructions for planting and care included.

SHIPPING GUIDELINES FOR STARTS - Hardiness Zone 7-9: shipping starts late April. Zone 2-6: shipping starts mid-May.
