Jasminum polyanthum is a handsome, subtropical vine whose dark green leaves provide a perfect backdrop for its January display of elegant and exquisitely fragrant white flowers. This is the perfume of Arabian nights, a rich, sweet scent that will fill a house or lightly carry through a southern garden. We ship our plants with buds already set, so with proper care an explosion of midwinter bloom is assured.
Jasmine is easily grown as a houseplant but will not tolerate dry heat or dry soil, and temperatures above 65°F are to be avoided while the buds are developing. If plants are placed in a cool spot and enjoy bright, indirect light, we guarantee bloom.
In any form, a Jasmine in bloom will transport you out of the depths of winter. We grow our bushy plant in an 11" white-clay pot designed by Randy Ouzts, with matching saucer. Shipment begins in mid-November.
This is a tender plant, so we will begin shipping holiday gift orders in mid-November, weather permitting.
