Jasminum polyanthum is a handsome, subtropical vine whose dark green leaves provide a perfect backdrop for its January display of elegant and exquisitely fragrant white flowers. This is the perfume of Arabian nights, a rich, sweet scent that will fill a house or lightly carry through a southern garden. We offer a bushy plant grown in a 10" stoneware hanging cachepot suspended from a hanger (included), and a plug to insert into the drainage hole. If you prefer to display your plant on a table, we also include a clay saucer to set the pot in. We recommend placing the saucer on a cork coaster to protect fine furniture.
Jasmine is a fabulous houseplant but will not tolerate dry heat or dry soil, and temperatures above 65 degrees are to be avoided while the buds are developing. If plants are placed in a cool spot and enjoy bright, indirect light, we guarantee bloom on every plant. Plus, flowers will open and last longer with cooler home temperatures. We ship our plants with buds already set, so with proper care an explosion of midwinter bloom is assured.
This is a tender plant, so we will begin shipping holiday gift orders in mid-November, weather permitting.
