This floriferous combination of Salvia nemorosa 'Caradonna' and Nepeta 'Walker's Low' spills over the stone pathway along the Lloyd Border at our nursery. It's a lovely sight in late spring and early summer, and brushing up against the Catmint foliage releases a minty aroma. Blues and purples create a tranquil scene when used by themselves, but associated with reds, yellows, or oranges, they will intensify the effects of their warm-colored companions. Our collection includes one plant of each variety; two plants total. Grow in full sun and well-drained soil.
Nepeta 'Walker's Low' was named Perennial Plant of the Year for 2007, and the International Hardy Plant Union chose Salvia 'Caradonna' as the Outstanding New Perennial in 2000.
