Annual Plants for Shade. Many annuals will perform beautifully in less than full sun. Here's a sampling of hardy annuals to try in partly shaded areas in the garden. We define "part shade" as three to four hours of sun. This list also includes plants that do well with no direct sun at all also. We are sorry but we have stopped shipping our annual plants at this time of the year due to extremely warm weather.
