Crafted entirely by hand, these heirloom-quality pots are built up by layers of hand-coiled clay. The time-consuming process results in a distinctive, durable vessel. Just slide your fingers over the rim to where they fit snugly under the curve and you'll immediately feel the difference in how this pot is made. Pots can winter over in cold-climate gardens provided they are set on feet (Item #59072). We recommend the use of 3 feet to support this fine pot. Measures approximately 12" wide by 9" high. One drainage hole.
We are very pleased to be one of the few direct-to-consumer sellers of an exceptional line of terra-cotta pottery from renowned importers Seibert & Rice. Timeless in style and versatile in the landscape or home, these pots are handcrafted using traditional methods by highly skilled artisans in Impruneta, Italy, a region of Tuscany that is the source of fine terra-cotta clay. They can be left outdoors year round set on pot feet off the ground to assure good drainage (make sure the feet don't block the drainage holes). Gardeners, designers, and anyone who loves beautiful objects made to the highest standard will appreciate the gift of a Seibert & Rice pot. Treat yourself or someone else to a magnificent garden heirloom. Larger pots are also available. Please call 800-503-9624 to order.
HOW PLANTS ARE SHIPPED
The size of the plants we ship has been selected to reduce the shock of transplanting. For some, this means a large, bareroot crown. Others cannot travel bareroot or transplant best if grown in containers. We ship these perennials and annuals in 1 pint pots, except as noted. We must point out that many perennials will not bloom the first year after planting, but will the following year, amply rewarding your patience. We ship bulbs as dormant, bare bulbs, sometimes with some wood shavings or moss. Shrubs, Roses, vines, and other woody plants may be shipped bareroot or in pots. The size of the pot is noted in the quick facts for each item.
WHEN WE SHIP
We ship our bulbs and plants at the right time for planting in your area, except as noted, with orders dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis by climate zone. Estimated dates for shipping are indicated in the Shipping Details box for each item. Please refer to the Shipping Details box to determine the earliest shipping time. Unless you specify otherwise, fertilizers, tools, and other non-plant items are shipped with your plants or bulbs. Please supply a street address for delivery. Kindly contact us with two weeks notice, if you'll be away at expected time of delivery.
We guarantee to ship plants that are in prime condition for growing. If your order is damaged or fails to meet your expectations, we will cheerfully replace or refund it. Please contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-503-9624 or email us at [email protected]. Please include your order number or customer number when contacting us.

I have just received my large pot, and two small ones. To my eye, they are gorgeous. I live in zone 5. Supposedly, the clay & firing used in these pots will survive the winter. If they do, I will order more next year ... and after I order the pots I want, I'll update this review! (I also bought the feet for under the pots to help drainage, especially in the winter months.) BTW, the first large pot arrived broken. White Flower Farm replaced it immediately. That's when I ordered the additional two small pots. This is a good company to deal with.
