We ship our bulbs and plants at the right time for planting in your area, with orders dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis by climate zone. All hard goods are shipped with your plants or bulbs, unless you request otherwise.

How can I print an Order Form?

Our order forms are available in PDF format. PDFs may be read online, but are set up in a printer-friendly format so it's easy to make your own paper copies for reference.

Using Adobe® Acrobat® Reader®

The tools in Acrobat® Reader® allow you to read a document online, print it, or search for specific content. If the type is too small to read comfortably, click on one of the zoom tools in the Reader® tool bar (shown as a + sign). When will you process my order?

We process your order immediately (orders placed after 5 p.m. EST are not processed until the next business day)-- charging your payment method and reserving inventory in your name. We will ship your plants and bulbs at the proper time for planting in your area. We ship tools and accessories (hard good items) with your plants or bulbs, unless you request otherwise. See our current shipping information for more details about when plants and bulbs will be delivered.

Do you guarantee your products?

Yes. Behind the pages of our catalog and Web site stand several dozen careful and competent professionals who are determined to make your gifts and plant and product orders successful in every respect. We guarantee your complete satisfaction or your money back.

We guarantee to provide healthy plants, true to variety and in prime condition for growing, and to deliver them to your home at the proper time for planting. Each shipment will be accompanied by clear and practical instructions for the planting and care of every plant included. While we cannot accept responsibility for losses caused by extreme weather, neglect, or inappropriate climate zone (clearly indicated for every variety), we DO guarantee that our plants will perform and thrive for at least one year when properly cared for or your money will be cheerfully refunded. We will act responsibly and trust you to do the same.

Please note: The size of the plants we ship has been selected to reduce the shock of transplanting. For some, this means a large, bareroot crown. Others cannot travel bareroot or transplant best if grown in containers. We ship plants in 3in (25.9 cu in), 1 pint (28.86 cu in), 1 qt (0.94 liter), or 1 gal (3.78 liter) pots, except as noted. We must point out that many perennials will not bloom the first year after planting but will the following year, amply rewarding your patience.

When a bulb or plant you have ordered is not available, we reserve the right to provide another of similar attributes and pricing that will produce the same garden effect.

How do I order gift certificates online?

You will find our gift certificates listed in a separate category at the top of our Home Page. Just select the amount that you wish to purchase and choose whether to deliver the gift certificate via email, postal mail or both. Then simply add to your cart. During checkout add the recipient's name and address in the "ship-to" area of the shopping cart. We send our gift certificates with our most recent catalog by UPS or by Priority mail, so please include a PO Box number if needed and street address. If selecting Express Shipping, please note there is a $17 additional charge. If you are using Express Shipping for Gift Certificates, please make sure to provide us with a street address for UPS delivery to arrive the next business day after we process your order. Express Shipped Gift Certificates cannot be delivered to a PO Box. You may also include a brief gift message to be sent with the certificate.

Can I cancel or change my order?

This option is not available on our Web site at this time. However, you can either send us an email letting us know the confirmation web order number (this would be needed to make any changes) and what you would like us to do, or you may call us at (800) 411-6159 from 9am-5pm. We will try to accommodate your changes if possible. Please be aware that as we get closer to shipping to your zone it may not be possible to make any changes to your order.

When may I order?

We are pleased to accept orders until the last realistic planting date in your area. This generally means early to mid June for spring orders and mid to later November for fall orders, weather permitting. We cannot deliver any orders to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, APO/FPO/DPO addresses, or outside the U.S.

Can I use my gift certificate or merchandise credit online?

You are now able to use your gift certificate or merchandise credit on our web site when placing your order as long as you have the credit number available. We will apply any credit to your order before your payment method is actually billed.

Are prices subject to change?

Prices are set seasonally by variety, and quantity discounts apply only to multiple purchases of a single item number. Due to increasing energy costs, prices and delivery charges are subject to change.

How do I expedite my order?

For certain items, Express delivery (2-3 business days in transit) is available for an additional $20 charge. To choose Express delivery, just add the item to your cart and proceed to checkout, and if Express is available, just choose that option at checkout.

How does White Flower Farm charge sales tax?

As you may or may not have noticed, White Flower Farm used to only collect sales tax only on items shipping to Connecticut addresses. This was consistent with long-standing precedent that online retailers are responsible for collecting sales tax on transactions to states where the seller has a physical presence, such as a store or warehouse. White Flower Farm has a physical presence only in Connecticut; therefore, we collected sales tax only on Connecticut-bound merchandise.

Last summer this precedent was changed by the Supreme Court’s ruling in S. Dakota v. Wayfair. The court decided that the “physical presence rule” was outdated, and that states may charge tax on purchases made with out-of-state sellers, regardless of whether the seller has a physical presence in the state.

Since this ruling, many states have implemented new sales tax policies for out-of-state sellers, and White Flower Farm has begun collecting sales tax on sales to many states beyond Connecticut. Our aim is to comply with all applicable laws and also do our best to minimize confusion for our customers. With that latter objective in mind, here are a few further details:

  • Different states have different sales tax rates; they also have different rules regarding whether shipping & handling charges are taxable, and what kinds of products are taxable at all. For example, in Connecticut a tomato plant is not considered a food item, and therefore is taxable – different states may handle that sort of item differently.
  • Taxes are applied by the state the merchandise is shipping to, not the state that the buyer is in (if the two are different).
  • Our website displays sales tax as a single dollar figure in your order summary. If your order includes shipping addresses in multiple states, any applicable sales taxes will be combined at checkout. The same calculations are applied to orders placed over the phone.
