Calendar of Events

Please plan to join us this year for some exciting programs with well-known horticulturalists. You'll have fun learning, talking with White Flower Farm staff, touring our display gardens, shopping from a special selection of plants, and visiting scenic northwestern Connecticut. All talks are held rain or shine in our lecture hall, which is located up the hill behind our retail store on Route 63 in Morris, CT. Lecture attendees may drive up the hill to park closer to the event. The lectures begin at 10:00 a.m. and last approximately 1 hour. The cost for each talk is $15 and advance registration is preferred. Catalogs and a free drawing at each lecture.

Sometimes survival is all we can do when battling the deer population. Kathleen offers practical tips, lively discussions and detailed information on dealing with this pesky problem. She is a designer and garden writer who speaks across the East Coast.

Great Tomato Celebration Boston Style!
 

2014 will be the fourth year that White Flower Farm will stage The Great Tomato Celebration for one day at Elm Bank in Wellesley, Massachusetts as part of Massachusetts Horticultural Society's Gardeners' Fair. The Great Tomato Celebration will be open from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with special early shopping hour for Mass Hort members starting at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 18th.

Presented by Marci Martin of Windsor, CT
 

Roses are becoming very popular once again. But to be successful in the garden with roses you'll want to hear pertinent information and tips from the expert. Marci has loved roses for as long as she can remember and is past President of the Connecticut Rose Society, an AARS Test Judge and past Rosarian at Elizabeth Park in Hartford, CT. She'll have you enthralled with roses and show you how easy it can be.

Saturday, June 21st - White Flower Farm Open House
  Annual Open House Just in time for the beginning of summer, White Flower Farm will hold its annual Open House day, when we welcome old friends and new for iced tea and cucumber sandwiches on the lawn by our house. The date this year is Saturday, June 21st and we will start serving around 2:30 p.m. The display gardens should be close to peak and the Begonia House full of renowned Blackmore & Langdon varieties will be hitting its stride. Before the refreshments are served, visitors can join WFF staff for a guided tour of the display gardens at 1:30 p.m.
There is no charge for the tour and visitors are encouraged to register on White Flower Farm’s web site.
