Dear Gardening Friend,
If circumstances made it impossible for you to finish shopping before now, we will be happy to deliver a gift certificate by E-mail, with the paper version plus our spring catalogue to follow immediately. We can and will deliver late orders until 6 pm on Christmas Eve, and, of course, thereafter. Please click here for information about the discount available on gift certificates -- there is no better gift for a gardener.
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY PLACED YOUR ORDER
We appreciate your business, and can report that the majority of early orders have already been shipped, but there have been areas of unseasonably cold weather that have caused some limited delays. We pay close attention to the weather throughout the nation and know from years of experience that there is almost always a break in the cold that lets us get the job done. If a delay past the holiday becomes inescapable, please be assured that we will communicate quickly and clearly to both senders and recipients and that we will deliver your gifts to the quality standards you expect. Naturally, we will be pleased to add to your gift list, even at the last moment, and we call your attention to the gift certificate message above. All holiday gift certificates include delivery of our three seasonal catalogues, a sort of a gift within a gift.
A WORD ABOUT SPRING
We don't normally notice the dark and cold in the run-up to the holidays, but it hits pretty hard right after New Year's. The best antidote we know of is our spring catalogue, which will be delivered to active customers in the week between Christmas and New Year's. The 2011 edition contains 144 pages and presents an offering of annuals,
perennials,
shrubs, trees, vines,
vegetables,
bulbs,
tools, and supplies that is a unique resource for gardeners. If you do not receive a copy, it's probably because our records do not show a recent purchase. There are two ways to resolve this disappointment. One is to
subscribe for a year (at a modest $5 cost), which provides you three seasonal editions of The Garden Book plus a purchase credit of $10. You may also choose to access the
complete catalogue online in electronic form, or to click various categories on our Web site and browse a wide range of plants not included in the print version. The entire
spring offering is now available on our Web site, and we will be pleased to provide you with some winter therapy as you dream about your garden. That's what we'll be doing too.
Our best wishes for the holidays and the year to come.
Sincerely,

|
