Our Angus Beef Collections
The best way to enjoy what a pasture-raised steer provides for your dining pleasure is to sample a mix of cuts, and we've organized our offering to accomplish that end by basing each collection on roughly 1/8th of a steer. Each collection includes a premium steak (choose the collection with your preferred cut), plus a fixed selection of other cuts and a modest supply of 90% lean ground beef.
Our collections provide premium products as well as good value. From mid-June through Labor Day (the peak of the grilling season), we are offering our 4 different beef collections at a 10% discount off the per pound price we charge at our store for the individual components. Each collection contains 34-35 pounds of top-quality meat mixed among different cuts, an assortment that any cook will love. You may pick up your beef at the nursery store this summer (please call our customer service office at 1-800-503-9624 to make arrangements). Bring your own cooler, and we'll take $20 off the collection price. If you prefer, place an order for home delivery when we resume UPS shipping in September. In either case, you will be buying naturally raised, certified Angus beef that has never ingested antibiotics or growth hormones, never seen a feedlot or a cattle prod, and never traveled more than about 20 miles in a stock trailer. Our butcher tells us these are the finest animals he sees every year, and now they are also a bargain.
We have had some requests from individuals who would like to buy either quarters or halves of steers for pickup at our store, and we're in the process of developing both pricing and processing arrangements to accommodate these folks. If you are within driving distance, we'd be pleased to record your interest (just send a note to custserv@whiteflowerfarm.com), and you'll receive the particulars when they're complete. This is, of course, an easy and economic way for beef enthusiasts to benefit from banding together on an order.
Please note that we do not ship our frozen products during the summer months. Our store also carries an active inventory of individual cuts, including a number not offered here. To enhance your enjoyment, recipes from Cook’s Illustrated magazine are available on our Web site in pdf format.
