HOW PLANTS ARE SHIPPED

The size of the plants we ship has been selected to reduce the shock of transplanting. For some, this means a large, bareroot crown. Others cannot travel bareroot or transplant best if grown in containers. We ship these perennials and annuals in 1 pint pots, except as noted. We must point out that many perennials will not bloom the first year after planting, but will the following year, amply rewarding your patience. We ship bulbs as dormant, bare bulbs, sometimes with some wood shavings or moss. Shrubs, Roses, vines, and other woody plants may be shipped bareroot or in pots. The size of the pot is noted in the quick facts for each item.

WHEN WE SHIP

We ship our bulbs and plants at the right time for planting in your area, except as noted, with orders dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis by climate zone. We also ship a wide range of containers and planters, tools, supplies, fertilizers, garden wear, garden decor items, as well as indoor decorations like wreaths and dried bouquets when available. Estimated dates for shipping are indicated in the green Shipping Details box for each item. Please supply a street address for delivery. Kindly contact us with two weeks notice, if you'll be away at the expected time of delivery.

OUR GUARANTEE

We guarantee to ship plants that are in prime condition for growing. If your order is damaged or fails to meet your expectations, we will cheerfully replace or refund it. Disappointed

We have had nothing but excellent results with White Flower Farm orders in the past and many products adorn our garden. However, my wife was dismayed when her Mother's Day cut flowers arrived warm and with nothing providing any hydration to the stems. The flowers have survived, but that is about it. I will be using a local florist in the future.

Disappointed and embarrassed customer

I am very disappointed and embarrassed with the quality of the flowers sent to my mom. I purchased a bouquet to be delivered to my mom for her birthday/mother’s day. The bouquet, Garden Dream, was to come with a vase. The delivery she received did not include a vase and the flowers were in terrible shape, with some of them looking like they had been pressed and dried. She contacted White Flower farm about the condition of the flowers. They looked up the order and told her that it was not the flowers that had been ordered for her and that the order was to also include a vase. White flower Farm delivered another package to her 6 days later. It was not the bouquet I had chosen it was Morning Light. Again the flowers were in terrible condition. Some of the small roses lost all of their petals as soon as she took them out of the box. Many of the flowers have brown spots and brown edges, leaves are wilted, petals are missing. I would have done better going to a local florist.

Very disappointed in Mother's Day bouquet

My mother’s flowers were delivered to her Wednesday. They were terribly disappointing and certainly an embarrassment as a gift. The roses were already brown and losing petals – rather an insult for Mother’s Day!

If I could return them for a refund, I would! I know these are stressful times for all of us, but I still expected a quality product from White Flower Farm.

Disappointed

Disappointed. The bouquet looked squished and the flowers were falling apart. If I had the ability to upload a picture of the bouquet for you to see first hand I would. I will not order again.

Disappointed

I'm a big fan of White Flower Farm, but I ordered some flowers (not in a vase) for my wife for Valentine's Day because I was going to be away. I came home to find a disappointing dying mess of flowers two days later that in no way resembled the beautiful picture on your website. And I paid extra to have them delivered in a timely fashion. Love your other stuff, but this was no where near my expectations of your other fine products.

I am sorry to learn this bouquet was not of good quality and I apologize for the disappointment this caused. As all of our products are guaranteed, I will be contacting you via email regarding compensation.
Sincerely,
Cathy

To maximize your bouquet’s vase life and keep your flowers looking their best, follow these simple instructions:

  • Give your vase a good scrub with diluted bleach (ratio of 1 part bleach to 10 parts water) to make sure no bacteria is lingering.
  • Dissolve contents of the enclosed flower food packet in your vase following the directions on the packet. Flower food is not included if your bouquet does not require it.
  • Recut the bottom of each stem at an angle, removing at least 2” to your desired height.
  • The blossoms will take up a lot of water in the first couple of days. Check the water level daily and add water as needed. Replace water every 2–3 days.
  • To lengthen the life of your bouquet, recut the stems in 3–4 days.
  • Remove older flowers as they fade.
  • Keep your bouquet away from direct sun, drafts, and sources of heat.

For Rose bouquets:
Gently remove the outer guard petals, which may be bruised or damaged.

For larger Gerbera Daisies:
Gently remove the protective netting around each flower head and adjust the plastic tube on each stem so that the top of the tube rests against the base of the flower head.
