Refresh your patio and front porch planters for the fall season with our colorful quintet of easy-care shrubs and perennials. Spikes of Ornamental Grass 'Standing Ovation' introduce a red tone that’s repeated in the foliage of Heucheras 'Forever Purple’ and 'Peach Flambe.' Adding a sprinkle of gold are the yellow-and-green leaves of Euonymus 'Aureomarginatus' and the feathery evergreen foliage of False Cypress 'Sungold.' Complete care instructions included. 1 of each variety, 5 plants total. Container not included.

  • Ornamental Grass: Schizachyrium scoparium 'Standing Ovation'
  • Heuchera 'Peach Flambe' (PP 17,195)
  • Heuchera 'Forever Purple'
  • Euonymus japonicus 'Aureomarginatus'
  • Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Sungold'

This collection fits in a container at least 16″ in diameter, and 12″ deep.

End-of-Season Care

If you choose to overwinter your plants, they will need a little special treatment. Although we can’t guarantee your plants’ successful return next year, here are our best recommendations.

Before winter, transplant the Ornamental Grass and Heucheras into your garden and keep the shrubs in their container for holiday decorating. If necessary, top-dress your shrubs with extra potting soil to fill the container back to its original level.

Overwintering Your Shrubs in Containers
In colder climates (Zone 6), move the shrubs in their container to a sheltered, unheated area, such as a garage, after the holiday season is over. Remove the holiday decorations. In spring, transplant your shrubs into the garden where you’ll enjoy them for years to come.

Shipping

Shipping
Every state has agricultural regulations that restrict the shipment of certain plants. We're sorry, but we cannot ship this item to the following states: Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington.

HOW PLANTS ARE SHIPPED

The size of the plants we ship has been selected to reduce the shock of transplanting. For some, this means a large, bareroot crown. Others cannot travel bareroot or transplant best if grown in containers. We ship these perennials and annuals in 1 pint pots, except as noted. We must point out that many perennials will not bloom the first year after planting, but will the following year, amply rewarding your patience. We ship bulbs as dormant, bare bulbs, sometimes with some wood shavings or moss. Shrubs, Roses, vines, and other woody plants may be shipped bareroot or in pots. The size of the pot is noted in the quick facts for each item.

WHEN WE SHIP

We ship our bulbs and plants at the right time for planting in your area, except as noted, with orders dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis by climate zone. We also ship a wide range of containers and planters, tools, supplies, fertilizers, garden wear, garden decor items, as well as indoor decorations like wreaths and dried bouquets when available. Estimated dates for shipping are indicated in the green Shipping Details box for each item. Please supply a street address for delivery. Kindly contact us with two weeks notice, if you'll be away at the expected time of delivery.
