Lamium maculatum 'Anne Greenaway'

This hummingbird plant is one of nature's lessons in color schemes. The foliage of Lamium maculatum 'Anne Greenaway' has solid silver flashes framed by shades of green and chartreuse, while the flowers are a mauve pink.

Most of the 40-odd species in this genus are rampant-growing plants from Asia and Europe. All tolerate poor soils and a range of light conditions. The few ornamental varieties have the great value of being lovely ground covers.
