Product Details
Did you forget to order Daffodil and Tulip bulbs last fall? You can still enjoy these colorful and cheerful spring blossoms at your house. This season, we’re delighted to offer prepotted baskets full of spring-flowering favorites. The multitudinous fragrant blossoms of an heirloom Daffodil are a delightful way to welcome spring to your front steps, porch, or patio when our exclusive Narcissus ‘L’Innocence’ Ready-to-Bloom Basket bursts into bloom. The sweet Tazetta featured here has been a favorite since 1930. Let the blossoms bask in the spring sunshine. The rounded white petals of each flower frame a warm orange-red corona. Our 12" wide x 6" tall bulb baskets are designed for outdoor display. They arrive ready to begin growing.
Each basket features a single variety of Daffodil or Tulip. Simply set the basket in a sunny spot outdoors upon arrival, no need to worry about a frost. Water it occasionally, and, over the course of 4-6 weeks, watch as green shoots and then blossoms appear. Choose a single basket for your porch, patio, or front stoop, or order several different types so you can mix and match colors and flower forms to create a vibrant display.

HOW PLANTS ARE SHIPPED
The size of the plants we ship has been selected to reduce the shock of transplanting. For some, this means a large, bareroot crown. Others cannot travel bareroot or transplant best if grown in containers. We ship these perennials and annuals in 1 pint pots, except as noted. We must point out that many perennials will not bloom the first year after planting, but will the following year, amply rewarding your patience. We ship bulbs as dormant, bare bulbs, sometimes with some wood shavings or moss. Shrubs, Roses, vines, and other woody plants may be shipped bareroot or in pots. The size of the pot is noted in the quick facts for each item.
WHEN WE SHIP
We ship our bulbs and plants at the right time for planting in your area, except as noted, with orders dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis by climate zone. We also ship a wide range of containers and planters, tools, supplies, fertilizers, garden wear, garden decor items, as well as indoor decorations like wreaths and dried bouquets when available. Estimated dates for shipping are indicated in the green Shipping Details box for each item. Please supply a street address for delivery. Growing guide
Set the pot of Narcissus bulbs in a sunny location outside. They will endure spring’s freezing and thawing temperatures, and precipitation, with minimal care. There is no need to fertilize. Water when the potting mix is dry to the touch. We recommend removing the pots from the basket before watering. Please note that the growth of the bulbs will be slower in colder temperatures and faster in warmer temperatures. Bulbs usually begin blooming 4-6 weeks after arrival.
What you do with your bulbs after they bloom depends on your climate and your inclinations. The Daffodil bulbs can be planted outdoors if they are hardy in your area, and most are hardy to zone 4 or 5. If you choose to plant your Daffodils, plant in the ground at a depth equivalent to about three times the bulb's height. Expect 2 or more years to pass before the bulbs will bloom again.
