Many gardeners today are interested not only in creating beautiful outdoor spaces, but also in building gardens that help feed, shelter, and support wildlife – from the smallest ladybugs and fireflies to butterflies, bees, and birds. One of the best ways to accomplish both missions is to incorporate native plants into borders, beds, and landscapes. Native plants are well adapted to local conditions and can be expected to thrive without undue inputs or assistance. These resilient plants are also key participants in the local food web and ecosystem.
The White Flower Farm Store in Morris, CT, is currently stocked with a wide array of North American native perennials, shrubs, and vines that are all as ornamental as they are purposeful. Our staff would be delighted to help you choose from the selection and answer any questions. While you’re here, we hope you will take the time to see some of these plants in our display gardens.
Looking for something specific? The store does not always offer what you see in our catalogs and on our website. Please call ahead before you drive any distance to ensure we have it in stock.
Please note: Our store & gardens will be closed on Juneteenth (Friday, June 19).

Garden Walk Series: Blackmore & Langdon Tuberous Begonias
Saturday, July 18th, 10 a.m., rain or shine
Come mid-July, our perennial borders are in full bloom and the gardens are exhibiting the vibrant color and energy of high summer. Mid-July is also when our display of Blackmore & Langdon Tuberous Begonias is at its very best. Our relationship with England’s Blackmore & Langdon extends back to the early days of White Flower Farm and we are honored to be the sole American retailers and exhibitors of these spectacular plants. Our Begonia House alone is worth the trip, but we’ll also stroll the outdoor display gardens and talk shop.
Please note: This Garden Walk will be led by head gardener Cheryl Karpeichik. Free. Registration required.
