Wide at the top and ornamented with a piecrust band under its well-defined rim, Whichford Pottery’s Piecrust Flower Pot is a versatile planter for use outdoors and inside the house. Fill it with an annual or two for a long summer of color then leave it outdoors as a home for colorful Heucheras in autumn and a few stems of Winterberries or holiday evergreens in winter. You can also bring the pot indoors to show off a houseplant, citrus tree, or culinary herb such as Rosemary. The pot is handmade in England using locally sourced clay.

All Whichford pots have a 10-year frost-proof guarantee. In colder climates where they may be subject to freeze/thaw cycles, we recommend emptying and storing them indoors. If you choose to overwinter your pots outside, cover them and place in a protected area where they are not in contact with bare ground.

These items are generally shipped separately from plants and other items and will, in most cases, ship within a few days of order. Our guarantee applies to all containers - please contact us if your item is damaged in transit or otherwise fails to meet your expectations.

Many containers we offer are large and some are quite heavy, and we put a great deal of care into packing these items for safe transit. Accordingly, these "oversize" items are often subject to shipping & handling charges in excess of our standard rates. We make every effort to communicate, for every item to which these excess charges apply, which shipping destinations are impacted and how these charges are applied. If you have any questions about the shipping & handling charges attendant to a container purchase, please contact our customer service team. 

We utilize both UPS and the USPS, depending on the size/weight of the package and the shipping distance. Both services provide tracking numbers which we include in shipment notification emails. We require a street address for delivery and request that you provide a shipping address where a daytime recipient is available. We cannot be responsible for delivery problems that stem from an incorrectly entered shipping address.
