Notice of Financial Incentive
If you are a California resident you have a right to receive this Notice of Financial Incentive, as defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, Civil Code §1798.100 et seq. (CCPA). This Notice is to provide you with information regarding any financial incentive that we may offer in exchange for you providing your personal information.
We offer discounts, coupons, services, and other perks to (1) visitors to our website; (2) members of our mailing list; and (3) members of our email list covered by the Notice of Financial Incentive.
To take advantage of these programs, consumers opt-in and provide us with certain personal contact information (e.g., name, email address, mailing address, zip code, phone number, mobile phone number, etc.). Consumers may opt-out anytime and there is no obligation to opt-in.
The following describes the type of incentive programs that we offer from time to time:
Save 10% on Your Order When You Sign Up for Emails from White Flower Farm
Anyone who signs up to receive emails from White Flower Farm will receive a promo code within 24 hours of submitting their email address to use at checkout for 10% off their next order. The promo code is good for only a limited time, and will expire 8 days after it is sent by White Flower Farm. The promo code is for use online only and applies to any item for sale at WhiteFlowerFarm.com, excluding gift certificates. The promo code does not apply to the shipping cost of the order. It is one-time use only and cannot be combined with other promo codes.
We offer these programs to you so you can enjoy our products and services at a lower price and so that we can offer products that are more relevant to you.
Our ability to create any value from the programs is based on our ability to leverage the personal information provided. Consumer data is valuable to our business only when it is combined with a sufficient number of other consumer data points.
Because the value to our business of any single consumer’s personal information depends on a number of other factors, including, for example, whether and to what extent you take advantage of any offer, whether and to what extent you opt-out of any program after having participated, and whether we are able to enhance the data through efforts described below.
We do not calculate the value of consumer data in our accounting statements, instead we make this good faith estimate for California residents. To the extent that we are able to create overall value from our programs to our business that could be directly or reasonably related to the value of that customer data, we use the following method for calculating that value: the costs associated with (1) our own intellectual property; (2) enhancing customer data by our team’s efforts; (3) leveraging our investments in understanding you as our existing and future customers; (4) all other costs reasonably related to the programs; and (5) for each program, and in aggregate, whether the revenue generated by the programs exceed the costs to us of offering them.
You can opt-in to, or opt-out of, any of our programs by contacting us per our Privacy Policy. As stated in that policy, White Flower Farm will never discriminate against consumers for exercising their CCPA privacy rights.
