How Will My Order Be Shipped?
We use both UPS and the USPS for customer orders, depending on the size/weight of the package and the shipping distance. Both services provide tracking numbers. We require a street address for delivery and request that you provide a shipping address where a daytime recipient is available. We cannot be responsible for delivery problems that stem from an incorrectly entered shipping address.
To Where Can White Flower Farm Deliver?
We ship to the contiguous 48 US states only. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO/DPO addresses, Puerto Rico, other outlying US territories, or any address outside the US.
How Much Will It Cost to Ship My Order?
Our base shipping and handling charges are applied per delivery address as a function of the sum merchandise value going to each address. Additional charges may apply for especially large or heavy items, items that require special packaging, or when expedited delivery is required or requested. Our base s&h charges are as follows:
| Merchandise Total | Standard Shipping (3-7 business days in transit) | Expedited Shipping (2-3 business days in transit) |
| Up to $49.99 | $10 | $30 |
| $50 to $89.99 | $20 | $40 |
| $90 to $149.99 | $30 | $50 |
| $150 and above | 20% of total | 20% of total +$20 |
Can I Expedite My Order?
For certain items and at certain time of year, we offer Expedited Shipping for a $20 surcharge. Expedited items are shipped within 2 business days, weather permitting, to arrive within 3 additional business days. Items that do not ship from our primary facility in Connecticut cannot be expedited.
When & How Is Sales Tax Collected?
Sales tax is calculated and collected in accordance with all rules and regulations that apply to the shipping address on the order. Shipping and handling fees are taxable in most jurisdictions, and jurisdictions vary in their treatment of, for example, whether an edible plant is considered a food item. Please contact us with any questions you may have about how sales tax was calculated on your order.
When Will My Spring/Fall Order Ship?
We aim to deliver your plants at as close to the proper time for planting in your area as possible. In doing so, we consider the USDA Hardiness Zone to which we're shipping, current and forecasted weather at the destination and along the shipping route, and whether your plants are ready for transplant. All else equal, orders are shipped in the order in which they were received.
Because different plants reach readiness at different rates and are weather-sensitive in varying degree, a single order may be delivered via multiple shipments. Plants sold as part of a collection, or that are otherwise meant to arrive together, will be shipped together. Please contact our customer service team with two weeks' advance notice if you anticipate being away at the expected time of delivery.
The below tables indicate when we expect to begin shipping various types of plants to various regions of the county. We frequently adjust shipping schedules when extreme weather could put plants at risk while in transit or soon after arrival.

When Will My Holiday Season Order Ship?
As a general rule, items in our holiday season offering (Amaryllis bulbs, Paperwhite bulbs, tender/indoor flowering plants, etc.) are shipped as soon as they are ready, in order to minimize the risk of cold damage in transit. Each product page on our website indicates when we expect that item will begin shipping for the season. We generally hold gift orders until after Thanksgiving unless a) we are directed otherwise or b) weather forecasts dictate that a temperature-sensitive item be shipped sooner.
When placing a holiday season order, you may guide us regarding delivery timing by electing one of the following "Ships for..." options when adding items to your cart:
"Ships for Thanksgiving": we will ship these items to arrive no earlier than the weekend before Thanksgiving and no later than the day before Thanksgiving.
"Ships for Christmas": we will ship these items the week after Thanksgiving at the earliest (e.g. gift orders for temperature-sensitive items) and to arrive by Dec 24th at the very latest.
"Ships for Hanukkah": we will ship these items the week after Thanksgiving at the earliest (e.g. gift orders for temperature-sensitive items) and to arrive the day before the first day of Hanukkah at the latest.
Shipping Limitations Due to Agricultural Regulations
We observe and abide by each state's regulations regarding plants that may not be shipped into that state. When we are not permitted to ship a plant to a state because of an agricultural quarantine or because the plant appears on that state's Prohibited Plant list, we list the state on the plant's product page, e.g. "No AL, AR, CA...".
