HOW PLANTS ARE SHIPPED

The size of the plants we ship has been selected to reduce the shock of transplanting. For some, this means a large, bareroot crown. Others cannot travel bareroot or transplant best if grown in containers. We ship these perennials and annuals in 1 pint pots, except as noted. We must point out that many perennials will not bloom the first year after planting, but will the following year, amply rewarding your patience. We ship bulbs as dormant, bare bulbs, sometimes with some wood shavings or moss. Shrubs, Roses, vines, and other woody plants may be shipped bareroot or in pots. The size of the pot is noted in the quick facts for each item.

WHEN WE SHIP

We ship our bulbs and plants at the right time for planting in your area, except as noted, with orders dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis by climate zone. We also ship a wide range of containers and planters, tools, supplies, fertilizers, garden wear, garden decor items, as well as indoor decorations like wreaths and dried bouquets when available. Estimated dates for shipping are indicated in the green Shipping Details box for each item. Please supply a street address for delivery. Kindly contact us with two weeks notice, if you'll be away at the expected time of delivery.

OUR GUARANTEE

We guarantee to ship plants that are in prime condition for growing. If your order is damaged or fails to meet your expectations, we will cheerfully replace or refund it. Please contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-503-9624 or email us at [email protected]. Please include your order number or customer number when contacting us.

Eucalyptus gunnii

My plant arrived in excellent condition. I ordered in early June. I planted it in a container and it is doing very well. I plan to buy 1 or 2 more next year.

Don’t recommend

I bought three of these plants in very early spring. They arrived a few weeks after ordering.

Plant #1 - One plant was barely alive upon arrival. I watered them and placed them in a bright window but unfortunately it completely shriveled up and died with in a few days.

Plant #2 - This plant is was struggling upon arrival but was better off than #1. I was able to revive it however it lost all of its leaves and suffered a major set back and has remained about ½ the size as plant #3 due to the rough start.

Plants #2 and #3 - It was still very cold here in Oklahoma when the plants arrived so I kept them indoors for about a month under a grow light before I started the transition outside.

I started taking them out during the day and bringing them in at night when the temperatures finally warmed enough.

Fast forward to the end of July. Now that the plants are bigger I noticed they are not they same species of eucalyptus. Plant #2 has round leaves and very long sparse branches. #3 has heart shaped leaves and has shorter and is generally shorter and bushier.

Both plants have done well despite their rough start until last week, plant #3 just shriveled up and dried out almost overnight. I l’m not sure what happened the only difference from #2 is that it gets a bit more sun during the afternoon.
Every leafs is brown and dry but there are a few new leaves sprouting so I’m hoping that it will pull through. I have moved it to the same location as #2 so fingers crossed.

Growing these plants is hard enough without the set back of them being nearly dead upon arrival.
All in all I can’t say I would recommend these plants or this company. I suggest ordering seeds and starting your own plants.
