Bearded Iris Companions
Bearded Iris are at their best in the company of other perennials and shrubs, especially Herbaceous Peonies, Roses, and Alliums. The companion plants you see here were carefully selected for compatibility, a preference for similar growing conditions, and flowering times that are either simultaneous or overlapping. Plant Bearded Iris in groups in well-drained soil and full sun, and avoid covering them with wood mulch. They are ideal in the mid-border where they can be surrounded – but not crowded – by other plants. For best performance, be sure to leave enough room for good air circulation.
The plants on this page are shipped for either fall or spring planting, see the green shipping details box on each item for details.
