Drought-Tolerant Plants

If you live where drought is a frequent fact of life, it's possible to have a lovely garden with drought-tolerant plants. Your plant palette is more colorful than you might expect. All of these plants benefit from lean, well-drained conditions, and many will sulk where winters are very wet. Even the most drought-resistant plants do need some supplemental water to become established, however.
