Annuals for Cool Weather
Some plants thrive in the cool temperatures we most commonly experience in spring. In gardens and containers, they provide dynamic color and diverse forms at a time when other plants are barely waking. Gathered here are some of our favorites. All flower enthusiastically in spring. A select few will take a snooze in summer’s heat then provide a second flush of color in fall as temperatures drop off again. Still others may flower nonstop later into the season. (See individual product pages for more information.) But all of these plants can be relied upon for the glorious show they provide in the cool weeks of spring.
