Trifolium (Clover)

Latin Name Pronunciation: try-foh’lee-um

This genus consists of about 250 species of creeping annuals and perennials found around the world. These are the distinctive 3-leaved, Shamrock-like plants, and many have unique color patterns. They are easy to grow and, although attractive by themselves, are great for use in mixed container plantings. Some varieties may be used as ground covers.

Plants are easy to grow in full sun to part shade locations in average, well-drained soil.
