Growing Magnolia

Latin Name Pronunciation: mag-nole'ee-uh   

An excellent specimen or landscape tree. Plant Magnolia in full sun or partial shade in moist, well-drained, slightly acid soil. Pruning requirement are minimal—remove dead or broken branches in late winter or early spring when plant is dormant. Other pruning can be done as needed after bloom.
