Growing Ponytail Palm

Light: Ponytail Palm appreciate as much light as possible, such as the direct sunlight from a from a south-facing window; it also does well in bright indirect light. Prolonged periods of low light can stunt growth.

Watering: Water only when the soil is completely dry. Drain off any excess water so it does not stand in water, which can cause root rot. Water needs are less in the winter months.

Fertilizer: Feed monthly from spring through summer (the active growing season) with an all-purpose fertilizer mixed at 1/2 strength.
