The shapely blooms and rich, iridescent colors of Amaryllis will light up a winter day like nothing else we know. The carefully prepared bulbs we deliver require only warm temperatures, strong light, and water to deliver a truly spectacular performance.
The Amaryllis you see offered locally bear absolutely no resemblance to the lusty giants we secure through special contracts with a Dutch grower. Our bulbs are guaranteed to produce two flower stems, most with four blooms, and are easily grown on from year to year. Allow 8–10 weeks from bulb to bloom.

Please note: Amaryllis height may vary. Plants tend to be taller when grown under lower light conditions.
HOW PLANTS ARE SHIPPED
The size of the plants we ship has been selected to reduce the shock of transplanting. For some, this means a large, bareroot crown. Others cannot travel bareroot or transplant best if grown in containers. We ship these perennials and annuals in 1 pint pots, except as noted. We must point out that many perennials will not bloom the first year after planting, but will the following year, amply rewarding your patience. We ship bulbs as dormant, bare bulbs, sometimes with some wood shavings or moss. Shrubs, Roses, vines, and other woody plants may be shipped bareroot or in pots. The size of the pot is noted in the quick facts for each item.
WHEN WE SHIP
We ship our bulbs and plants at the right time for planting in your area, except as noted, with orders dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis by climate zone. Estimated dates for shipping are indicated in the Shipping Details box for each item. Please refer to the Shipping Details box to determine the earliest shipping time. Please supply a street address for delivery. Kindly contact us with two weeks notice, if you'll be away at expected time of delivery.
OUR GUARANTEE
We guarantee to ship plants that are in prime condition for growing. If your order is damaged or fails to meet your expectations, we will cheerfully replace or refund it. Please contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-503-9624 or email us at [email protected]. Please include your order number or customer number when contacting us.

gnats love soggy soil from CT
Three years ago I purchased "THIRTY WONDERS OF THE AMARYLLIS WORLD". They arrived in November. I planted them indoors in four long flower boxes (total of 20' long). We live in Wisconsin where the snow stays all winter, but what a cheerful brightness this brought to our south-facing living & dining rooms from January thru April. These were the best quality bulbs, most put up 2 or three stalks, many had 4+ blooms per stalk. Stunning. Exotic. We put them in the outdoor garden in Spring & Summer, and (after October-November rest) did the same thing last winter. So beautiful, refreshing; such spectacular variety. They've shortened our long winter! Glory to the Creator! We have lost several bulbs (they died) but the 25 or so remaining bulbs have now hatched about 15 more "babies." All are doing well as we look forward to a repeat third-year-performance this winter. The only problem we've had has been some tiny gnats that find indoor habitat in the soil--I'd like to know a solution for that!
Gnats appear from over watering. They love to live, breed, and lay their eggs in moist soil. Try letting your soil dry out between waterings.Pastor Chuck Walton from WISCONSIN

How to Grow Amaryllis
Bulb size: 28-32 cm
GROWING AMARYLLIS OUTDOORS
GROWING AMARYLLIS INDOORS
Pre-potted Bulbs
Amaryllis sent already potted need only a thorough watering with lukewarm water to begin growing. Then follow the "Pre-bloom Care" instructions below.
Please note: These Amaryllis are shipped with a layer of decorative Spanish moss on top of each pot. Cut the rubber band that holds the Spanish moss in place and arrange the moss around the bulb so it looks attractive.
Potting Bareroot Bulbs
Please note: Some of our Amaryllis kits are shipped with a disk of potting medium (Cocopeat). Follow the directions on the package for rehydrating the disk. Fill the pot about 1/2 full with Cocopeat, set the bulb on top, and fill in around the bulb with additional Cocopeat. Adjust the position of the bulb as needed so that the top 1/3 of the bulb is exposed. Do not be concerned if the final level of the Cocopeat is down inside the pot. Firm the Cocopeat and water lightly to settle it around the bulb. Then follow the “Pre-bloom Care” instructions below.

Growing Amaryllis in Stones and Water
*We recommend trimming dried roots off because they will decompose in water over time. Adding aquarium charcoal to the river stones will also help prevent any odors.
