Baptisia
Baptisia, native to North America, offers beauty along with a tough character and carefree nature. Part of the Pea Family, the Lupine-like flower spires of Baptisia rise up to 4' tall in spring offering a wide range of magnificent colors to the perennial garden. Surrounded by attractive blue-green foliage, long after the bloom, and tolerant of most soils these sun-loving perennials are drought tolerant, low maintenance and long lived. Also known as False Indigo, these deer-resistant plants are pollinator friendly too.
