HOW PLANTS ARE SHIPPED

The size of the plants we ship has been selected to reduce the shock of transplanting. For some, this means a large, bareroot crown. Others cannot travel bareroot or transplant best if grown in containers. We ship these perennials and annuals in 1 pint pots, except as noted. We must point out that many perennials will not bloom the first year after planting, but will the following year, amply rewarding your patience. We ship bulbs as dormant, bare bulbs, sometimes with some wood shavings or moss. Shrubs, Roses, vines, and other woody plants may be shipped bareroot or in pots. The size of the pot is noted in the quick facts for each item.

WHEN WE SHIP

We ship our bulbs and plants at the right time for planting in your area, except as noted, with orders dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis by climate zone. We also ship a wide range of containers and planters, tools, supplies, fertilizers, garden wear, garden decor items, as well as indoor decorations like wreaths and dried bouquets when available. Estimated dates for shipping are indicated in the green Shipping Details box for each item. Please supply a street address for delivery. Kindly contact us with two weeks notice, if you'll be away at the expected time of delivery.

OUR GUARANTEE

We guarantee to ship plants that are in prime condition for growing. If your order is damaged or fails to meet your expectations, we will cheerfully replace or refund it. Please contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-503-9624 or email us at [email protected]. Please include your order number or customer number when contacting us.

The flowers arrived as scheduled. They are beautiful, smell wonderful and delighted my mother.

Disappointed

Sorry to say, very disappointed. Roses were old. Lilies tight, I don’t think they will open well.
Wouldn’t order again.

Disappointed

A viewer from Indianapolis IN

Ordered these for my mother in law for Mother’s Day. They were nothing like the picture. There was red in the bouquet and no lilies. Stems were broken and they quickly wilted. I buy so many quality items from white flower farm and I assumed a bouquet for this price would be of the same high quality. I am very disappointed.

Nothing like the photo

A viewer from New York

I have ordered many things over the years from White Flower Farm with great satisfaction, however, this bouquet, which my husband actually ordered, was a huge disappointment. The flowers looked wilted upon arrival, except for the lily which has since bloomed. We only received one lily, unlike the photo. The petals on the roses were falling off. I put everything in the vase he purchased with the order, hoping to see the flowers "perk up" by morning. The next morning, the lily was beginning to bloom, however, the other flowers looked worse because there must have been a crack in the vase. Water was on the counter and seeping out. Now I have dried up leaves on the stems and flowers that look at least a week old. I know it's a difficult time for everyone, but this was a waste of money.

Nothing like the photo

Arrangement was a gift and was delivered on time, even early, for Mother's Day. Recipient sent a photo and what she received was nothing like the description or photo. I understand substituting if something is unavailable, but her arrangement contained only pink & cream roses with a lot of baby's breath. The roses didn't even look that healthy. The arrangement I ordered was beautiful and unusual and unfortunately, that is not what was delivered. So disappointed.

To maximize your bouquet’s vase life and keep your flowers looking their best, follow these simple instructions:

  • Give your vase a good scrub with diluted bleach (ratio of 1 part bleach to 10 parts water) to make sure no bacteria is lingering.
  • Dissolve contents of the enclosed flower food packet in your vase following the directions on the packet. Flower food is not included if your bouquet does not require it.
  • Recut the bottom of each stem at an angle, removing at least 2” to your desired height.
  • The blossoms will take up a lot of water in the first couple of days. Check the water level daily and add water as needed. Replace water every 2–3 days.
  • To lengthen the life of your bouquet, recut the stems in 3–4 days.
  • Remove older flowers as they fade.
  • Keep your bouquet away from direct sun, drafts, and sources of heat.

For Rose bouquets:
Gently remove the outer guard petals, which may be bruised or damaged.

For larger Gerbera Daisies:
Gently remove the protective netting around each flower head and adjust the plastic tube on each stem so that the top of the tube rests against the base of the flower head.
