Product Details
This collection of native plants provides year-round resources for songbirds, offering nectar, seeds, and shelter while filling the garden with vibrant seasonal color. The Anise Hyssop and Coneflower supply nectar-rich blooms that attract pollinators and hummingbirds, while their seed heads later provide food for finches and other seed-eaters. Joe Pye Weed and Blue-stemmed Goldenrod bloom in late summer and fall, supporting migrating birds with insects and nectar during their journey. Black-eyed Susan and Smooth Aster extend the flowering season and produce seed heads that persist into winter. Prairie Dropseed, a graceful prairie grass, offers cover and seeds for ground-feeding birds, while Big Bluestem adds dramatic structure and habitat value. Together, these plants create a resilient, ecologically rich landscape of shifting hues—white, gold, blue, purple, and deep wine—that is as beautiful to the gardener as it is valuable to birds. 12 plants total, covers approximately 46 sq ft. HOW PLANTS ARE SHIPPED
The size of the plants we ship has been selected to reduce the shock of transplanting. For some, this means a large, bareroot crown. Others cannot travel bareroot or transplant best if grown in containers. We ship these perennials and annuals in 1 pint pots, except as noted. We must point out that many perennials will not bloom the first year after planting, but will the following year, amply rewarding your patience. We ship bulbs as dormant, bare bulbs, sometimes with some wood shavings or moss. Shrubs, Roses, vines, and other woody plants may be shipped bareroot or in pots. The size of the pot is noted in the quick facts for each item.
