Product Details
Attracting the attention of both judges and audience at the Chelsea Flower Show in England, the award-winning Anemone Wild Swan bears lovely, pure white flowers with lavender blue on the backs of the outer petals. As a result, you are treated morning and evening to nodding, half-closed bicolor blossoms. Selected from seedlings with a few different parents of early- and late-blooming varieties, Wild Swan offers a long season of bloom. 'Macane001' PP 23,132
It's hard to orchestrate a proper beginning or finish to the growing season without including Anemones in your plan. Blooms are either pink or white, with a bright ring of golden stamens in the center, and both single and semi-double varieties are available. The foliage is generally a deep green that is pleasing to look at all summer and rarely bothered by pests or disease. Anemones thrive in full sun or partial shade (required in the South and the warmer areas of Zones 9 and 10 in the West) and deep, rich, moist soil. Once established (which may take a year or two), they will fill in any available space, though these plants are far too charming to be called invasive.

HOW PLANTS ARE SHIPPED
The size of the plants we ship has been selected to reduce the shock of transplanting. For some, this means a large, bareroot crown. Others cannot travel bareroot or transplant best if grown in containers. We ship these perennials and annuals in 1 pint pots, except as noted. We must point out that many perennials will not bloom the first year after planting, but will the following year, amply rewarding your patience. We ship bulbs as dormant, bare bulbs, sometimes with some wood shavings or moss. Shrubs, Roses, vines, and other woody plants may be shipped bareroot or in pots. The size of the pot is noted in the quick facts for each item.
WHEN WE SHIP
We ship our bulbs and plants at the right time for planting in your area, except as noted, with orders dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis by climate zone. We also ship a wide range of containers and planters, tools, supplies, fertilizers, garden wear, garden decor items, as well as indoor decorations like wreaths and dried bouquets when available. Estimated dates for shipping are indicated in the green Shipping Details box for each item. Please supply a street address for delivery. Kindly contact us with two weeks notice, if you'll be away at the expected time of delivery.

Latin Name Pronunciation: ah-nem'-oh-nee
Grows in full sun or partial shade in the North; requires protection from the midday sun in the South and warm inland areas of the West. Not fussy about soil. Spreads vigorously once established. Lift running plantlets in spring and share with friends.
