Indispensable in gardens and bouquets, prolific, richly colored Gomphrena globosa 'Raspberry Cream' produces masses of 1½” lavender-pink bracts that add unique form, irresistible color, and airy lightness to plant groupings. Magical amid Dahlias, large-flowering Marigolds, and Ornamental Grasses, this Globe Amaranth can be cut and used in fresh-flower arrangements or dried to add lasting color to preserved floral bouquets and wreaths. It’s a must-have for cottage and cutting gardens, container plantings, and the edges of mixed borders.
Gomphrena is a genus of 90 species, mostly annuals, found in a range of habitats in Australia and Central and South America. These multi-stemmed plants produce colorful, Clover-like flower heads that are useful in both fresh-cut bouquets and dried arrangements. Globe Amaranth also makes a good filler with other sun-loving annual bedding plants such as Dahlias, Salvias, and Zinnias.

HOW PLANTS ARE SHIPPED
The size of the plants we ship has been selected to reduce the shock of transplanting. For some, this means a large, bareroot crown. Others cannot travel bareroot or transplant best if grown in containers. We ship these perennials and annuals in 1 pint pots, except as noted. We must point out that many perennials will not bloom the first year after planting, but will the following year, amply rewarding your patience. We ship bulbs as dormant, bare bulbs, sometimes with some wood shavings or moss. Shrubs, Roses, vines, and other woody plants may be shipped bareroot or in pots. The size of the pot is noted in the quick facts for each item.
WHEN WE SHIP
We ship our bulbs and plants at the right time for planting in your area, except as noted, with orders dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis by climate zone. We also ship a wide range of containers and planters, tools, supplies, fertilizers, garden wear, garden decor items, as well as indoor decorations like wreaths and dried bouquets when available. Estimated dates for shipping are indicated in the green Shipping Details box for each item. Please supply a street address for delivery. Kindly contact us with two weeks notice, if you'll be away at the expected time of delivery.

Growing guide
Latin Name Pronunciation: gom-free'nuh
Gomphrena is a genus of 90 species, mostly annuals, found in a range of habitats in Australia and Central and South America. These multi-stemmed plants produce colorful, clover-like flower heads that are useful in both cut bouquets and dried arrangements. If you pinch plants back by ½ on arrival, you'll delay flowering, but the plants will produce more branches and thus more flowers over a longer season.
Light/Watering: Full sun. Although relatively drought tolerant, it's best to water when the top 1in of soil is dry. Water at the soil line to help keep the leaves dry.
Fertilizer/Soil and pH: Plant in average to dry garden soil that drains well. Use an all-purpose or bloom-boosting fertilizer during the growing season, mixed according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
Pests/Diseases: Provide good air circulation to keep the leaves dry and prevent leaf spot.
Companions: Gomphrena makes a good filler with other sun-loving annual bedding plants such as Dahlias, Salvia, and Zinnias.
