For a sumptuous visual feast of pale green, cream, and pastel pink, mix equal quantities of Double Tulips 'Angelique' and 'Mount Tacoma' in a sunny bed or border with well-drained soil. 'Angelique' has been a particular favorite here for years and often produces more than one flower per stem. Its soft pinks are a perfect complement for 'Mount Tacoma', a pre-1924 heirloom whose pink-and-green buds open to creamy white blooms. Late midseason. Twelve of each variety, 24 bulbs total, labeled.
Double Tulips offer the lush beauty of Peonies in May. Their semidouble to double, Peony-like flowers are long lasting. They are as good for bedding as they are exquisite in a vase.
